"I drank very fast is what I learned. I drank a lot. I found my score and I checked myself. I didn't want to die yet." -Marty C. (author of site)

HOW I DID IT: The results were awe-inspiring for me. I drank like a fish. Every day. I was scared to take the test, I'll be honest. When I saw the FIRST results, I was shocked. What do I do? I have to quit. This sucks. (Idea hits me) I decided that slowing down was the answer. But, how much? So, I started to limit my drinking to 3 beers a day, every day, just for the numbers (and fun). I devised a method to slow down and it is simple, ONCE you get your SCORE. The second test results show the new AST and ALT levels significantly dropped. Details of my diet are below. What you eat MATTERS as well. It is easy to switch once you know your score.

YOUR LITTLE BUDDY, YOUR LIVER: The LIVER is the largest organ in the body. It is almost supernatural. It regenerates itself over its whole lifetime. If 90% of your LIVER were removed, in two months it would regenerate itself to 100% size. Unbelieveable. Unless it gets scarred up by drinking alcohol and eating saturated fats, sugar and salt. Your SCORE will show you where you are in the curve. Research shows that the liver can take care of one drink (in this case, light beer) in 1 hour. 3 beers = 3 hours. That leaves 21 hours for your liver to fix itself. And, over 90 days, that is what happened in my case.

THE METHOD I USED: I buy a case of beer. I personally drink Yuengling Lager 4.5% alcohol because it tastes great. And taste is KEY to your success. For the testing period above, I used 4.2% light beer with watery taste. It sounds impossible, but what you do is PUSH AWAY the beer past arms length. Just do it. Try it. Watch how many times you jump for it in five minutes, two minutes. Train yourself with the mantra thought of "If I go over three, I have to quit." It creates the ceiling of three beers. Now it is about TIME. How do you stretch those three soldiers? Push 'em away arms length plus. Every time you drink. You will learn to RESPECT your beer. Especially, if it tastes awesome. And that's it. GET TESTED AND FIND OUT YOUR SCORE.

THE DIET: NO SATURATED FAT. NO SUGAR. LIMITED OR NO SALT. Google 'Foods with Saturated Fat' And vice versa. Find it. Save it. Shop with it. The food you eat has to go through the liver. Those things above and alcohol are its enemies. Your SCORE will drop because of change in diet. My diet was very liver friendly during the 90 days. Chicken breast, beans (watch the oxolates - too many causes kidney stones), frozen vegetables (microwave), Cheerios, oatmeal (low sugar), V8, Orange Juice, cut lemon juice/water every day (huge for liver), bananas, salmon in a can, spinach tortillas whole grain, brown rice frozen, broccoli, and the main ingredient, WATER, WATER, WATER and more WATER. 10 glasses a day minimum (I fill up a half gallon jug and keep it by my desk with a cup.) Water is the detox. Drink it like it's 110 degrees. Ending advice: Once you change something, like diet, it takes little time to get used to it. Your score will drop.

BEER VS. WINE AND LIQUOR: I only drank beer during the 90 day program I did. With a ton of mixed drink experience as a consumer, One legal shot = One 12 oz beer = One 5 oz glass of wine. Google it for exact numbers. Quantifying your future consumption can only be done with a shot glass. Do it yourself, OR, tell your bartender to make the drink in front of you with a shot glass. Otherwise, drink wine, at 5 oz and no more. Overpours raidly accumulate over time. Your score will not drop if you cheat.

*UPDATED TEST SCORES after 90 days of drinking FOUR beers a day (Yuengling 4.5% alcohol lager beer). This was also after 5 months of drinking 3 light beers a day (4.2% alcohol) with a liver healthy diet. I am in the green by a ton. I also lost 30 pounds and feel like a champion. This method taught me how to drink in moderation. I never thought it was possible. Give it a shot. Get your score first, though, so you have a number to base it all on. Then, in 90 days, you go get your new score.

FOUR (4.5% ALC.) BEERS SCORES BELOW

AST (10-35) ALT (9-46)

A NEW METHOD -  Simple. Drink WATER before and in between drinks. Every drink. It will cut your incoming drink numbers in half, while adding the water needed for a good liver detox over ONE MONTH or more. I have also tried drinking one beer, two waters, one beer, two waters and so on. Start doing it and test yourself when you want to see the results. Simple.

Warrior Method - Stop ALL INTAKE OF ALCOHOL for ONE MONTH, for most people. If you're deep in the RED, you may need more time, but my numbers went down drinking three beers a day, so it's up to you. Just get the numbers down.

Conclusion: Honestly, I was on my way to cirrohsis, until I decided to do something about it. It's your life, man. If you tear it up a little too often, find out your score. Check the oil in the car. Just keep track. Because if you blow it up, it doesn't work anymore. You need a new one. Not for me, anymore. Get your blood test and know the truth.
